The Career Show Internship

The Career Show is a new informational entertainment event, produced in the style of classic
broadcast television but designed and paced to mimic sports entertainment shows like College
Game Day. The show will have a host, a live audience, a few guest segments, a showcase of
industry data from a survey, and an emphasis on banter between the host, the guests, and the
audience.

Intern Role (1 day)

Interns for the show will be critical in helping manage the show’s production, have various
responsibilities with each segment (e.g., guest AV prep), interact with the audience and with
guests on and off the stage, run errands, and be a ready resource for the myriad of little tasks
that pop up when shooting a television style show.

Responsibilities

● Be in attendance at the show taping on November 21st from noon to 7pm
● Be extroverted and ready to talk to audience members or chat with guests off-stage
● Handle simple tasks like mic’ing up a guest, or encouraging audience applause
● Have a smartphone that takes good pictures – take lots of pictures!
● Have a basic understanding of and ability to use various AV technology
● Have recent experience in a video production environment (e.g., TV show, podcast, etc.)
